It's that time of year! It may be cold and wet this year, but that's never stopped us before. We are gearing up for the event season, as a look at our schedule indicates.
What is the event season? It's the time of year when we, and merchants like us all over the country, emerge from our shops and from the dealers' rooms at cons and head out into fields to sell merchandise from tents. Whether it's Renaissance faires, Highland games, or events for the Society for Creative Anachronisms, there we are. Shivering, sodden, or sweltering, there we are. Our particular range here at Redwolf Limited is Washington and Oregon, meaning this time of year tends rather to the shivering and the sodden, but goodness knows we've sweltered as well!
It's a lot of work. Especially on solo weekends. Obviously, we wouldn't do it if we didn't enjoy it, but our day starts well before the gate opens and ends after it closes. That doesn't include set-up, travel time, and of course making stock. That's the life of a merchant for you.
There are a lot of compensating moments, though. This season, we hope to bring you some of the best of them, and we hope you'll share your pictures with us as well. Let us know if there's anything you want to know. We'd love to hear from you.
